About the Vermont Mozart Festival
Vermont Mozart Festival has been featuring world-class performances in beautiful and historic locations around the state since 1974. Thirty-seven years later, the festival has consistently been named by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce as one of Vermont’s Top Ten Summer Events, and is regarded by its attendees—more than 16,000 each year—as one of their favorite summer rituals. The Festival has also been voted Best Oudoor Concert Series by Seven Days Magazine.
This summer, from July 18th through August 8th, 2010, Vermont Mozart Festival hosted 19 concerts and featured the music of Chopin, whose orchestral and solo works for piano were brought to life by global talents Rieko Aizawa, Philippe Entremont, Jean-Francois Latour, Jean-Claude Pennetier and Artistic Director Gil Shohat.
