Policies & Information
Box Office Ticket Policies
All programs and artists are subject to change without advanced notice.
Refunds
Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. Unused tickets may be donated to the Vermont Mozart Festival no later than one week prior to the concert.
Off-Site Parking
Parking at Shelburne Farms is limited, so some patrons will be asked to park at the Shelburne Community School and take our shuttle service to and from Shelburne Farms.
Youth Tickets
Youth tickets are valid for those 3-17 years of age, and will cost $15. Please be aware that concerts are generally 2 hours in length. We ask that you please ensure that young children do not distract the performers or detract from the experience of other concertgoers.
Children of all ages are encouraged to attend the Family Series concerts. The children's ticket price for the Family Series is applicable for children ages 3-15.
Smoking
Out of consideration for the comfort and health of our patrons, the Vermont Mozart Festival is a smoke-free environment.
Late Arrivals
Latecomers to indoor concerts will be seated at a suitable pause in the performance at the discretion of the management. No refunds or price adjustments will be given to late arrivals.
Unused Tickets
Unused tickets may be donated to the Vermont Mozart Festival no later than one week prior to the concert. If you cannot attend a concert, please call (802) 862-7352 to make arrangements for turning in your tickets. You do not require a tax letter for contributions of less than $250, and the tax-deductible contribution is for the face value of your tickets. Letters will be provided upon request.
Lost Tickets
Lost tickets will be subject to a ticket replacement fee. Please place your tickets in a safe location once you receive them to avoid any added expense or inconvenience.
Ticket Availability
All concert sites, indoor and outdoor, have limited capacity. In order to ensure the safety and comfort of our patrons, the Vermont Mozart Festival, in conjunction with the venue organizations, has set limits to the capacity of each concert. As a result, many of the concerts sell-out in advance. The Vermont Mozart Festival cannot guarantee that tickets will be available at the gate or door on the evening of a concert. To avoid disappointment, we suggest that you purchase your tickets prior to arriving at a concert.
Outdoor Seating
So that everyone can enjoy and see at our outdoor concerts, the area nearest the stage will be designated for patrons sitting on blankets only. Patrons in chairs with low legs and backs (maximum total height 28") will be asked to sit behind those on blankets. Patrons with chairs higher than 28" will be asked to sit behind those in low chairs.
Trash
When you are attending the festival at an outdoor venue, we ask that you please take all your trash with you at the end of the evening. The Festival will have some additional trash bags but trash receptacles will NOT be available at most outdoor concert sites.
Rain Call
For the outdoor summer concerts, a rain call will be made no later than 4:00 p.m. on the afternoon of the performance. Weather in Vermont can change very quickly and can be quite different in different regions of the state. We use the best data that is available to us in making our decisions. We must move to a rain site if:
• Thunder and/or lighting is imminent
• Constant heavy rain is expected
• The ground to too wet for comfort
• Other conditions exist that threaten the safety of our patrons, musicians and volunteers
If we are expecting brief passing showers, generally we will stay outside. Please pack an umbrella, rain coat and a water repellent seating surface if the weather is questionable.
Rain Site Information
Once a rain call is made, the information will be posted to the following:
• Vermont Mozart Festival Voice Message at (802) 862-7352
• WCVT 101.7
• Vermont Mozart Festival web site
• Vermont Public Radio at 88.5, 88.7, 89.5, 94.3, and 107.9FM
If you call the Festival office, know that others may also be calling, so please be patient.
Every outdoor concert has its own rain site. Please check your tickets for the rain site location of the concert you are attending.
Driving directions can be found on our web site.
